Role: Social Media Lead / Content Manager
Challenge: Maintain consistent, strategic messaging across social media and newsletter channels while coordinating content from multiple departments throughout the year.
Approach:
Lead the development and management of an annual editorial calendar that guides both social media and newsletter content, aligning posts with campaigns, events, organizational priorities, and key awareness months.
Collaborate with departments across the organization to identify upcoming programs, events, and initiatives that can be promoted through digital channels. Coordinate with colleagues to align social media posts and newsletter features with articles, stories, and other communications.
Meet with teams to better understand their communication goals and identify opportunities to expand promotion, highlight programs, and better reach target audiences.
Manage social scheduling and publishing through Hootsuite and monitor performance metrics such as engagement, reach, and video views. Use these insights to refine messaging, improve content performance, and inform future content planning across channels.
Outcome:
Maintain a coordinated and data informed content strategy across social media and newsletter channels that strengthens engagement and helps departments more effectively share programs, events, and community impact.
Website Management

Project: Website Management and Community Resource Guide
Role: Content Manager / Digital Contributor
Challenge: Keep the organization’s website accurate, accessible, and responsive to evolving community and departmental needs while improving access to local resources.
Approach:
Maintained and updated website content by staying in regular communication with department representatives to ensure program information, events, and resources remained current and accurate. Identified opportunities to improve clarity, usability, accessibility, and ADA compliance across pages.
Collaborated with external website vendors during a website migration, helping coordinate content updates, review site structure, and ensure a smooth transition while maintaining consistent messaging and branding.
Contributed to the development of the organization’s Community Resource Guide, an online searchable library of services for local residents. Participated in focus groups and gathered feedback from staff and stakeholders to help shape the structure, usability, and content of the resource database.
Outcome:
Helped maintain a reliable, user friendly website and supported the launch of a centralized community resource tool that improved access to services and information for residents across the region.
